Meet at the Market! - Mercado la Paloma!

I was fortunate to have a couple pieces in this LOVELY market! The theme NOURISH: Love & Friendship, focuses on relationships that nourish us!

I included "I Brought You Some Friends (So You Can Play in the Sky Together)" and "We Can Both Be Captains" which talk about children's relationships with nature and siblings/companions respectively.

Mercado la Paloma is a community-based market which serves over 1,000 people every day for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Known for a few of Jonathan Gold's favorites, Chichen Itza and Holbox, the market is an affordable and delicious and hidden gem in Los Angeles. Established by the Esperanza Community Housing Corp., the market supports its community with great workshops and events, affordable meals and housing for families, and gives countless hours of support and resources to it's community. Curated and hosted by the Esperanza group, NOURISH: Love & Friendship showcases a wide-range of local artistic talent, and is on view for the entire month of February.
